I am in your Hard Core Yoga class at the University and it’s awesome. It’s amazing to see how much my body has improved and how much better I feel about myself since I started yoga.

I started yoga with Asia in 2008. I had low back pain, sore wrists and sholders from lots of computer work, and plantar fasciitis that my podiatrist said was incurable and would need orthotics for the rest of my life.

After two months of yoga with Asia, my plantar symptoms were nearly gone. I often forget fasciitis was ever a problem. Amazing.

I am fitter and more mobile every month thanks to her unique style of teaching. I am enjoying my body again.
Thank you, Asia.

I just wanted to thank you for being such an amazing instructor this term. Your class was what I looked forward to every week. I knew I would come home every Friday feeling awesome so thanks for that.

Your class this semester has been an incredible experience. I must say, I was rather skeptical that yoga would prove to be a good workout or be necessarily beneficial in any other sense. I guess I had a misconstrued view that yoga was just a lot of “hooey” but my opinion has been completely changed by your class.

I have felt very much like I’ve been losing myself this year and your class was one simple time where I could somehow reorganize myself and feel good about myself again. I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate that.

Thank you for all your encouragement and patience over the past four months. I have learned a great deal about ashtanga yoga and a lot more about my own limits - they’ve expanded far beyond what I started with in September. The benefits for my hip have been really fantastic. My bursitis has subsided and I’m pain-free, thanks to you!

In a community that seems filled with yoga studios all offering the same thing, it is refreshing to find Pranalife Yoga. The blend of fun and function is what draws me to Pranalife. Asia has a fun way of delivering her classes, while the focus on flexibility, strength, proper breathing and mind centering are never lost.

Wow!!

THIS is exactly what I need right now. Thank you! I feel great this morning! But it’s not just how I feel - I love the way you teach your classes.

In school, I was one of those kids who was terrified of gym, the mere mention of doing somersaults gave me anxiety. Yet within a year of doing yoga, with Asia’s reassurance and guidance, I’ve been able to do poses (such as handstand) I never dreamed I could.

For me, the sense of accomplishment is incredible and I owe this to Asia. She has an amazing ability to convey and break down the poses in small achievable segments. At the same time, her holistic approach to yoga has taught me that yoga is not about striving for the ‘perfect pose’ - it’s about challenging my body and mind within my own limits and in a compassionate manner. A philosophy I’ve carried with me off the mat as well. The positive changes in my body and mind are numerous.

I am an avid runner who has run half and full marathons. I have incurred runner’s knees, pulled calf muscles, misaligned foot bones, back pain, leg pain and many other pains. After reading about professional runners using yoga as a form of cross training and after overcoming my fears of being a 6’6” tall guy in a yoga class, I decided to give it a shot.

I found very quickly after joining yoga that my body became healthier. I would wake up in the morning refreshed and relaxed. Consequently, my daily runs became easier and I found all my “normal” running pains were disappearing, my back was straighter and I was breathing more fluidly. In a single yoga class all my muscles were being used - large, small and some I didn’t even know I had. I have not had an injury since I started integrating yoga into all of my training plans.

Thanks Asia for everything you have done for me. I can’t write in words how grateful I am to have had you as my yoga instructor.

My physiotherapist recommended that I take yoga classes from Asia to help with the flexibility as I continue to recover from a lower back injury. I have been astounded at how much better I have felt since starting weekly classes with Asia. The pain in my back has greatly subsided and I have definitely noticed an improvement in my flexibility. I love the way that Asia explains all of the postures, as well as introducing us to the other aspects of yoga practice. I feel that she must have a sixth sense when she is teaching - whenever she interjects with a ‘coaching’ note I feel as though she somehow knows exactly what was going on in my body and is telling me how to fix it! I have definitely become hooked on yoga. Thank you!

As a grade 6 teacher, I have had great success using some of the meditation techniques that Asia teaches with one of my high needs students. This little boy struggles with mood, anxiety, and focus, but was completely enthralled as I took him through some exercises to help focus his thoughts. It was amazing to see how it connected with him – he pulled himself out of the negative cycle he was it at the moment and completed a task he had been struggling with and was trying to avoid. I would really like to continue to learn more - as the benefits are surely endless!

The main thing I loved about Asia’s classes were that she changed it up all the time. You never knew what was in store for that day, and it was a relaxed atmosphere so you could ask questions as you were doing a posture. The best thing about Asia was that she came around and helped you fix your posture and she always gave different levels of difficulty that would suit you. Asia is also one the nicest people that I have ever met. She is so fixed on helping you achieve your goal, you really feel like you are getting personal attention.

Because of Asia I have come to really love yoga and I have definitely increased my flexibility, stability and strength. And Asia is right when she says that you come to love ‘down dog’ position, I do that stretch everyday and I love it.

Asia is an amazing instructor who can adapt to different students’ needs. Yoga is very technical and Asia has the ability to not only demonstrate but describe orally how the posture should be performed. This is Asia’s key advantage over other instructors. On top of her teaching ability she is so enthusiastic about yoga that she will make the biggest skeptic a yoga lover!!!

I have taken Asia’s Ashtanga class and it was one of the most intense classes I have taken. She is an incredible instructor and very accomplished in yoga. Her class was full of students and energy.
